Baby Girl in Crib. Fair Condition due to some fine scratches, residue, discolorations, loss of surface paints and relief decorations.
This plate has an old transfer print photograph (no dot-matrix pattern), most likely custom-made for a family. I can say that the photograph image is not a stock or modern reproduction, for the reason that some old relief decorations and golden paint/lines were applied on top of the image. There are some loss of golden paint due to age and wears, and one can detect fading brush strokes on top of the transfer photo image. The original photo may have some damages, so the image on this plate has some imperfections. The photo has a grey/purple hue color.
The rim decorations are golden transfer print decorations (most have faded), and the vines, flowers, and paint decorations around the central image are all hand painted. Some dark residue on the relief decorations and on glaze.
The large plate has three base footings/rims, with a "TK" impressed mark and numbers. There is also another number written on the glaze. The large wall plate has two holes so that one may put wires there for hanging purposes.
Plate was made in the late 19th century, and the image may have been applied later probably pre-1930.
